CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 Providing a unique, fun, and results-driven fitness experience that can't be found at just any gym. Small group classes allow our trainer to focus on the proper technique and movement, reducing the risk for injury and ensuring success.  


Classes are 60 minutes. Before your first class, our trainer will discuss your training experience, abilities, limitations, and health history to determine the best scaling options appropriate for YOU. If you’ve never trained before or have some significant limitations that you’re trying to overcome, we may recommend a personal training package before jumping into classes. Or if you're an athlete looking to take your training to the next level, this is also the place for you!

  Varying in intensity, these classes are based on the foundations of functional fitness (CrossFit philosophies). We will prioritize the quality of movement to improve agility, stamina, mobility, speed, balance, coordination, and gymnastics. This class will help you build strength and endurance in your everyday life – movements you utilize daily like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, bending, and just moving.

Stretching and mobility

Active recovery (low to moderate intensity) is better than not moving between high-intensity days. This class has a decrease in volume and intensity but keeps you moving! There are many physiological benefits of an active, anaerobic, recovery day including: reducing the accumulation of lactic acid in the muscle that creates stiff and sore muscles, alleviating fatigue, and improving mobility.

This class features innovative programming focused on isolated muscle training combined with functional training movements at a moderate intensity. The movements in this class will test the muscles differently. This programming will focus on moving the body in different planes to strengthen muscles and help prevent injury.

During Open House, full access members can utilize the facility to train on their own. This includes use of cardio equipment, free weights, weight machines, lifting rigs, and more! A staff member will always be on site to answer any questions you may have.

There are key milestones when children develop certain athletic skills like speed, agility, and strength. Training to their specific age range and abilities within these windows of time helps them in their physical and emotional development and sets the foundation for proper health and wellness as they grow. KIDS classes will help develop these core skills in a fun environment using games and movements that keep them interested and active.

COMING SOON!

Much like KURA KIDS, we will focus on developing age-specific athletic skills. Age and sport-specific training provides a solid foundation for future athleticism. Focusing on and improving secondary fitness parameters like moving well in all planes, lateral skills, dynamic balance, coordination, and agility while utilizing proper body mechanics to increase strength and power will support these young athletes as they grow and develop. We will also focus on rest and recovery, and proper nutrition. Ages 12-16 years.
